Day 3 box office Sanam Teri Kasam: Sunday’s earnings for the movie came to about Rs 6.75 crores, bringing the total since its re-release to almost Rs 18.75 crores.
Box office collection for the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam Day 3 : Sanam Teri Kasam, a rather moving romance drama, was directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao in 2016. Sanam Teri Kasam, which starred Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane in the key roles, made Rs 1.3 crore on its first day of release. The movie’s music was well received at the time, and it earned an astonishing Rs 8.71 crore at the end of Week 1 in the domestic market. It stumbled to a lifetime collection of only about Rs 9 crore over the course of the following few weeks. In 2016, it was deemed a failure.

However, nine years after its first release, the movie was re-released on February 7 to an unexpected Rs 4.45 crore, more than half of its first week’s earnings. Before the producers could even rejoice at the historic re-release run, Day 2—actually Day 3292—collected Rs 6.02 crore, exceeding Sanam Teri Kasam’s lifetime earnings from its original 2016 run. The movie made Rs 6.05 crores on Sunday as well, bringing its total earnings since its re-release to about Rs 18 crores, according to trade website Sacnilk. As a result, the movie’s total earnings have surpassed Rs 24 crore.
The fact that Sanam Teri Kasam is surpassing other February 7 movies, like as the highly anticipated Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor movie Loveyapa and Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar, is what has really shocked the market forces. Loveyapa and Badass Ravikumar earned Rs 1.65 crore and Rs 1.5 crore on Sunday, respectively, while Sanam Teri Kasam earned nearly Rs 6 crore. Once more, though, this is viewed as an anomaly because not all re-releases caused such a surge in sales.
